Sedgemoor Sea-Jet Display Team

We have just returned from the Beale Park Model Show (Bank Holiday Monday 1st May) at which we have done our first display of 2006.

We’ve changed the start of the formation display; so gone is ‘Thunderbirds are go’ as we form into a rocket shape and it’s replaced with the theme from ‘The A Team’ as we come out one at a time into a line – you can’t accuses us of not being modest! We also added a few new manoeuvres towards the end of the display, most of them did work fairly well once we had all remembered exactly were to go! A couple of hours break and we were on the lake again this time with the James Bond 007 routine. No new bits, just trying to get all the existing stunts to work is hard enough!

The display went very well, all the stunts worked and apart from a minor hiccup when Bonds special ‘jumper’ Sea-Jet decided to stop for no good reason. After a quick rescue (by Jaws) it was re-launched and the

remaining stunts/effects all went off very well.
