SWAMBC Small Yacht racing 2007
SWAMBC YACHT RACING SERIES
Round two, Poole Park, Sunday 3rd June 2007
Greetings, fellow yachties! Last evening I had a chat to John Trimmer on the telephone, and we spoke of the next round at Poole Park Lake. Unfortunately there is also one of these “Run for life” events going on in the area on the same day. This will mean that there will be no parking on the roadway by the lake during the event! Anyone who is coming along to sail is asked to contact John for a pass to get you to the venue with your car. The only access road will be via Twemlow Avenue, turn left along Whitecliff Road, when you reach the railway bridge, turn right immediately before the bridge onto the Poole Club’s ground to park. There will be stewards around on the roads, and you will need to have your pass in view on the windscreen.
You MUST be parked before 9.45am or you will not get down to the lake (no lie-ins!). It makes sense because of the situation to use as few cars as possible, so if you are able to travel with a friend, then please do so. Please write to John as soon as you can, and please enclose a stamped, addressed envelope for your car pass, I do not think it right that John or the Poole Club should be asked to fund the postage, for something which is no fault of theirs.
John’s address:Mr J. Trimmer, 139 Warburton Road, Poole, Dorset, BH17 8SE
Thanks folks!
Danny
